As summer is around the corner, Condé Nast Traveller, a website that caters to luxury travel, has released a detailed list of the top 26 Greek islands to visit in the year 2023. The list provides in-depth descriptions of each island along with suggestions on where to stay. Given the abundance of information available, we believe it is an ideal resource to begin planning your trip to the Greek islands.

Αt the top of the list, as last year is Santorini. The article specifically mentioned that this particular location was regarded as the top choice for “Honeymooners and first-timers”.

In the third position is Corfu. “Corfu is the It Girl of the Ionian islands.” The capital city of this Greek island is an alluring blend of Venetian, British and French colonial influences. The rest of the island is reminiscent of Tuscany, with its soft-toned villages, sprawling olive plantations and grand estate houses.

In sixth place of the list, sits Sifnos. This island is ideal for “Big, fat Greek feasts”, visitors will have the chance to taste some of the most amazing traditional dishes. Further down the list, we will find Serifos, in 9th position, and Patmos in 18th place. Serifos characterised by the magazine Best Greek island for “Naturists and purists” and Patmos for “stark mystique and show-stopping villas”. Serifos is a Cycladic island, less crowded compare to others, with beautiful waters and great hiking paths. Patmos is located in Dodecanese. Patmos possesses an indescribable “je ne sais quoi” a spiritual energy and an intangible quality that exudes from its most distinguished landmark, the medieval Monastery of St. John as well as the cave of the Apocalypse, giving the island an otherworldly charm.
