Designed and built by a leading architect in traditional Cycladic style, the house combines the comfort and space of a family home with the simplicity of contemporary living. Centrally located on the magical island of Sifnos, the property is nestled into a secluded hilltop with 180 views of the Aegean Sea and neighbouring islands. The landscaped Mediterranean gardens, designed by dry-garden experts, is a prominent feature of the property, seamlessly blending the house into its natural environment.
The property sleeps 10-12 people in three separate units, offering both flexibility and privacy for two families sharing or for different ages.
The main house, with terraces onto the pool and garden, wraps around an attractive inner courtyard and includes the living room, kitchen and dining, two further outdoor dining areas, terraces under pergola and guest WC. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished and offers panoramic views towards the sea and the valley through large windows and doors. The main terrace gives onto the pool and has space for dining, lounging and casual seating. Sleeping 6 people, the main house has one ensuite master bedroom and two further double/twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom.
The spacious Xenona guest house, with its own outdoor seating area in a private garden under pergola, sleeps 4. It comprises a double bedroom, a living room with two built-in beds, a bathroom, and an open kitchenette with coffee maker and refrigerator.
The Doma, ideal for staff or teenagers, is a charming converted farm building that sleeps 2 people in twin beds and has its own bathroom.
The pool terrace has ample sunbathing space as well as seating. A long water bench runs along one side of the pool, offering wading depth for young children or immersed seating for reading. An outdoor shower and pool bathroom are on the terrace below.
Below the pool terrace, the Folia, an outdoor lounge area, sheltered and under pergola, is ideal for napping, reading and evening drinks.
A selection of books, cards and games is available, as well as a projector and screen for outdoor cinema screenings. Gym equipment. Good satellite wifi. No TV, but amply made up for by the stunning night sky perfect for stargazing.
If guests forego use of the Doma, help is available for cooking and cleaning and for house maintenance. Indeed, this option is recommended and preferred.
